I was in P.E. class when my teacher started talking about how a way we could do a certain exercise while sitting at our desks was to clench our thigh muscles. I knew then that atleast half of the class was doing it. The guy to my left even stopped everything else to concentrate to find out if he could,in fact, do the exercise. Movement was soon restored to normal. She also told us how someone lost there finger when bench pressing.
There was a sub for my French class and it was this small Indian women. Small as in there is no one in the school taller then her. She's maybe four feet tall, I'm not sure but it seems rude to ask. Everyone knows who she is and everyone has the same reaction that I can't describe. But it is not one of happiness. There is a very tall boy in my class and she started asking him questions about his height, it was really funny. He stretched his arms up during class and she said that he could reach the sealing if he did that standing up. We all laughed and I think the boy was just a tiny bit embarrassed about her comments. I think she was just marveling at how tall he was.
During the same class it hit me that my family is getting a new puppy today! I found out this morning when I was packing my bag I heard my mom asking my dad about keeping a dog and on seconds I was by her side answering that he did in fact want this unknown dog. After five minutes of debate between them and me constantly saying "Yes we want the puppy!" They of course said yes and my mom told the lady on the phone ad arranged a time to get it. At first it was tomorrow afternoon which would have been horrible but then with a surprising change of events it changed to today in half an hour! The puppy is three months old and a Lab/German Shepard mix, it's female. I have no ideas for a name and my parents are no-go for Diru relatedness.
I felt very proud of my self for being able to figure out the abstract crossword puzzle in French class. Which was written in French but I easily translated, was still a terrific challenge. Not only did I have to look up random words that had been thrown in that I didn't know yet but once I knew what it said then I had to figure out what it meant.
Example:
#16. On repond avec "parce que". Which I translated to: We answer with "because". It took awhile for me to realize the answer was "pourquot" = "Why". Maybe that is simple to others but for me that was quite a stumper.
During math I noticed that the homework the guy behind me didn't have his name on it so I gave it back and told him. He said something along the lines of "nice shot". I've never heard this used as a compliment/thank you like it was before but it was amusing.
