I have to write a stupid story for English. Not that the story I'm going to write is stupid, of course! My story will rock! But the assignment sucks. I've never been a big fan of writing stories. Except maybe in fourth grade when I wrote a whole book. It was a small book, one of those ones that has 20 blank pages to write on and a blank cover so that you can draw on it. Mine as expected was rockin' the colorful stick figure people and the sun in the top left hand corner where it always should be. Extra points for sunglasses and a smile.
This Friday I started going to school early to listen to CD's without worrying about leaving for school because I'd already be there. Well I got out there today but I didn't have my CD player because it was a "If I put anything else into my backpack, the second I lift it up my back will break and my bag explode!" kind of days. When I got there my friend was surprisingly already there trying to read. The second I sat down she for stopped reading told me how she had stopped really reading the book that was assigned in English chapters ago. Which when given a visual aid of her showing or more precisely waving in front of my face what seems like half of the book between her fingers and saying to me "I haven't read any of this!" is quite amusing.
The shoes I bought at the beginning of the year are already sadly falling apart. I think of how my last pair of shoes lasted over a year! Then I remember that those shoes cost thirty dollars and my shoes now are from Payless. I think that there must be some hidden connection.
